Many of us are left with spiritual wounds that cause us not want to think about church or God again. It is also hard to even open the Bible and read it. There are Shincheonji teachings all around and you remember how you have been deceived again/ or taught wrong teachings. It is like a trauma; it triggers you to think about all those experiences in Shincheonji and all your negative emotions are stimulated..
So it has happened to many of us to just leave God all at the same time.
BUT this is exactly what Satan wants if we do that!
It was our longing for God and the truth that we went into this organization and its bible study. It is this longing that makes us feel upset and betrayed by God. But, we have to acknowledge the fact that it is this longing for God that Satan took advantage of…
"For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." (Mark 13:22)
Satan does not just attack anyone who is already on his side but those who are trying to get to know God better and have that connection with Him the source of life.
For he is the great deceiver who comes to us in a form of angel (2 Cor 11:14) and even performs miracles (Mat 24:24). Not only that, he also uses the Bible to deceive people just like he did to Christ in Matthew 4!
No wonder Shincheonji or other cult organizations "target" those people who have this passion and desire for God.
But remember.
God is greater!
He has opened our eyes so we could see more truths about scj that we couldn't see inside.
He perhaps spoke to us through our conscience, talked to us through the word, or used many other red flags to tell us about SCJ.
It is Him who has led us this far, and it is the same God who will lead us to the next chapter of life.
If we had a wrong / distorted picture of God and religion through scj, now He is calling us to meet the REAL Him in the Bible. Not the one Shincheonji told us about--God who would be pleased when we keep working, recruiting, and coming up with continuous strategies to hide ourselves from our loved ones, without taking care of our bodies.
But God in the Bible is one who is loving who invites us to life, peace, and joy. He is the one who represents the father who has been patiently waiting for his prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32). He knows that we made wrong choices or mistakes, but He does not wait to condemn us. Instead, He runs into us, shows His sympathy, embraces us to be His beloved children again!
But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
“The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
“But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate."
(Luke 15:20-24)
God calls for a feast and celebrates with us that we have finally come back to Him.
He invites all of us to be His sons and daughters. Day and night, He has been waiting, when we were busy working for Shincheonji thinking that we were serving God but actually another man. Our God the Father knows our pains and struggles, and He wipes away our tears.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isa 41:10)
It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” (Deut 31:8)
Yes, it is difficult to open the Bible. Then maybe you need to take some break and just have this one-to-one relationship with God. Ask Him to guide you. Ask Him to help you. You want to have peace in your heart no matter what, don't you? We cannot let Satan lead us even after we leave Shincheonji. We are going to let God lead us from now on. We are His.
You think it will take time. Take that time then. Take things slow if needed. He has been waiting for the humanity for thousands of years anyway and is willing to walk with you.
If you think you are ready to open the Bible to get to know Him again in that way, ask for His Spirit to guide you so that you will be able to see HIM rather than the promised pastor. Find Him in the Bible, for He is everywhere. He is going to guide you to the real truth--Christ.
I have been healed and experienced recovery through this way, with a lot of struggles but seeking for God and true peace in my heart. YOU CAN ALSO EXPERIENCE THAT.
